Support services

The ANU community will support you to settle in your life in Australia. You can speak to our ANU Careers Centre to explore ideas to take your career to the next level, get academic writing help from the Academic Skills and Learning Centre, or simply chat with your program convener about your study materials.

If you’re new to the ANU, we recommend the Set4ANU mentorship program. You will be paired with a current student who will help you settle in Canberra.

Student associations

The ANU College of Engineering, Computing and Cybernetics also has affiliations with clubs and societies such as the ANU Engineering Students Association, Computer Science Students Association, Fifty50, Robogals, and Engineers without Borders.

Get involved with student groups across the university and you will be exposed to educational, professional and social opportunities to support your studies.

These groups allowed me to implement the skills I’ve learnt in my engineering degree and additionally, being part of these teams and working towards a common goal fostered amazing friendships, gave me motivation, and allowed me to grow.

Flexible Double Degree

At ANU you can design your own Flexible Double Degree (FDD). An FDD is a great way to combine your interests and stand out in the job market after your studies, taking 4–5 years to complete and will see you graduate with two bachelor’s awards.

There are over 600 possible double degree combinations, use our degree builder to find one that works for you!
